WE NEED YOUR HELP! 

 

You Can Thrive! is the national leader in providing innovative holistic resources and prevention services for cancer survivors since 2005.

 

We are expanding our programs to offer more services than ever before to our community of survivors/thrivers. We need YOUR help to make this growth continue. If you or anyone you know who has experienced or been touched by breast cancer or any other cancer, you know it takes a village to get through a cancer diagnosis. You Can Thrive! needs YOU to help others, as we have helped you. We NEED ambassadors who would like to volunteer and/or intern with us.

 

We have some specific roles that could be of interest to you, as well as, just your presence will help us keep the wheels on the bus moving in the right direction.

Paid Position available for:

Resources Coordinator: 

The Resources Coordinator will work under the direction of the Director of Programs and in collaboration with office staff. They will provide administrative support and be responsible for coordinating a broad range of activities such as patient navigation, booking appointments, updating website, creating newsletter and attending meetings. Volunteer Positions:

Natural Health Practitioners:

Licensed massage therapists, acupuncturists, reiki practitioners, holistic make-up artists, reflexologists, nutritional counselors and others are invited to volunteer part-time with YCT. This position requires only 1-2 dedicated hours at the same time each week in your own office or in our space. You can also apply to join our talented team by providing services at our community events (i.e. providing massage for groups for one afternoon).

 

Office Administration Volunteers:

YCT is seeking qualified candidates to expand our office administration team. These volunteer positions require 4-24 hours per week. Your day will encompass learning non-profit management, board and donor development and corporate marketing. A part-time internship could eventually become a full-time position, maybe even paid; should YCT continue to grow. Flexible location with office space at the Centre for Social Innovation in Chelsea NYC. A minimum commitment of 6+ months and strong communication skills both written and oral are needed.

Survivor Navigator:

These positions are critical since you will be speaking with breast cancer patients and survivors on a daily basis, answering their questions, providing emotional support. You will also have the ability to book them for holistic care practitioners for palliative services. We are seeking individuals who wish to give back by joining us on a part time/full time basis any day Monday-Thursday.

Volunteer Coordinator:

YCT needs a passionate & qualified candidate to help us manage the volunteers for the organization. You would be involved in recruitment, retention and interfacing with our amazing volunteers. You could create training and managing volunteer scheduling. You have the ability to craft different opportunities that would reinforce our appreciation of our volunteers. Part time position 4 hours per week operating out of our office space at The Center for Social Innovation in Chelsea NYC.

Social Media Volunteer:

The Social Media Volunteer will provide support in a variety of ways; from copywriting to content development, brainstorming, analytics, publicity and communications, in a fast paced and energetic environment. We need a social media whiz who is  detail-oriented, have strong communication skills, and an interest in data-driven marketing strategy. The candidate will also have valuable insight into utilizing social media to generate awareness and donations,; via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and more.

Event Production Volunteer:

This position works in tandem with the Program Director, you will be involved in all of the steps of planning events. which require coordination and forward thinking. We are seeking individuals who are strong multi-taskers, good communicators, well organized, forward thinkers and want to have some fun. You will be the main liaison between the venue, venue staff,  pre-event communication, as well as on-site at the event.
